If you're looking for a manicure in San Diego and trying to figure out where to book, here's the short version of what we actually do — no padded lists of services we don't offer, just what's on the real menu at our Downtown studio.
The core idea: gel-only, technique-first
Every manicure and pedicure here uses hard gel and gel polish — we don't offer acrylic at all, on any service (see why we made that call). Cuticle work is done with the dry, e-file Russian manicure technique, which is why our gel tends to outlast a standard set. Every service is backed by the same 2-week guarantee: if something's not right within 14 days, we fix it free.
What's actually on the menu
- Russian Gel-Overlay Manicure — gel over your natural nail, no added length.
- Gel Nail Extension — real added length using a gel tip or sculpted form.
- No-Polish Manicure — full shaping and cuticle care, no gel or color. See our full comparison of these three if you're not sure which fits.
- European Express Manicure — a shorter-format gel-overlay for tighter schedules.
- Japanese manicure — a treatment built around strengthening the natural nail itself.
- Pedicures — the same gel-overlay or no-polish choice as our manicures.
- Men's manicures and pedicures — the same care, finished without polish. See our men's services guide.
- Nail art — a design or ombre add-on to any of the above, not a standalone booking.
Currently wearing acrylic, or coming off gel?
Two guides specifically for that: switching from acrylic to gel if you're moving over, or safe gel removal if you just need a clean soak-off, whether or not you're rebooking with us the same day.
Where we are
We're a small Russian manicure studio at 1357 Seventh Ave, in the Core-Columbia district of Downtown San Diego — about a 5-minute drive from Balboa Park, with street parking right on 7th Ave. Being small is one of the reasons cuticle work here is done at a deliberate pace rather than rushed through a high-volume schedule.
Most of our clients drive in from within about 15-20 minutes: Downtown itself (Gaslamp, East Village, Cortez Hill, Marina), Bankers Hill, Hillcrest, Mission Hills, North Park, South Park, and Golden Hill.
