"Extension correction" isn't a separate line item on our menu — it's what a Gel Nail Extension appointment turns into when what you're bringing in needs fixing rather than a routine fill. Here's what that actually looks like.
What "needs correction" usually means
A few real situations bring people in specifically for this:
- Uneven regrowth — the natural nail has grown out under the tip enough that the shape or cuticle line looks off, even if the extension itself is intact.
- A lifted or cracked section — one or two nails have come loose or chipped while the rest of the set is fine.
- A set from elsewhere that isn't holding up — sometimes the fix is simpler than a full removal and rebuild.

How we actually handle it
We look at the natural nail underneath before deciding anything — a damaged or thinned nail plate sometimes needs a proper soak-off and a short recovery window (see our gel removal guide) rather than building another layer straight over it. If the natural nail is in reasonable shape, correction is usually just careful rebalancing: filing back the grown-out section, rebuilding the shape, and finishing with the same gel-polish top coat as any extension appointment.

Why we don't book it as its own service
Because what a set actually needs — rebalance, partial repair, or full removal and rebuild — depends entirely on the condition of your natural nail underneath, which we can't assess until you're in the chair. Booking a regular extension appointment and telling us what's going on when you book gets you the right fix without guessing at a separate SKU in advance.
Every corrected set is backed by the same 2-week guarantee as any other appointment.
