"Strengthening manicure" gets searched a lot, so here's a direct answer: our regular Russian Gel-Overlay Manicure is the strengthening option — it's not a separate treatment, it's what a gel overlay does by design.

What actually happens structurally
A gel overlay is a layer of hard gel bonded directly to your natural nail plate, cured under UV/LED light. While it's on, that layer does two real things for the nail underneath:
- It acts as a rigid shield against everyday impact — the gel absorbs the catch or bend that would otherwise stress the nail plate directly, which is the main reason nails under a well-applied overlay chip and split less than bare nails doing the same daily tasks.
- It stops you from picking at or over-filing your own nail, since there's a gel layer between your daily habits and the nail plate itself.
What it doesn't do
It doesn't chemically change or "feed" the nail underneath — any strengthening effect is protective, not nutritional. If your nails are thin or peeling from a health or nutrition issue rather than mechanical damage, a topical treatment (gel included) only helps the outermost layer; the actual fix is elsewhere. What we can promise is that our process doesn't make it worse: the dry-cuticle technique and always soaking off rather than prying mean the nail plate stays in the same condition appointment after appointment.
If your nails are already damaged or thin
Start with a proper removal and a short bare recovery window if you're coming off a previous set, then a Russian Gel-Overlay once your nail bed feels solid again — the protective effect works best applied to a nail that's already stable, not as a first fix for one that isn't.
